Transformational Entrepreneurship
We live in the age of transformational entrepreneurship. New ideas and innovations change the way we live and organize ourselves, our work and our organizations. My research explores the transformational journeys of entrepreneurs and their innovations, particularly, how they change the game, the systems and the social order to ascend to positions of influence and leadership. My work primarily focuses on new and peripheral players (e.g., new ventures) and how their innovations move from the margins to the mainstream.
From emerging technologies and political newcomers to climate change initiatives and lay experts, I apply organization theory to study how entrepreneurs and change-makers strategize and navigate the social order to overcome the obstacles and beat the odds. My research offers insights for organization scholars and entrepreneurs seeking to understand or replicate triumphs. Please join the Transformational Entrepreneurship Lab as a researcher or entrepreneur to explore the dynamics of social transformation.
